Call of Duty Alpha Edition Gunnar Glasses Review: Ready For Action

The COD Alpha Edition Glasses have a simple yet sleek design that is definitely worth a second glance due to the supreme quality these have. Playing games won't be as tiring for the eyes ever again with all the great tech and material present in it. And these ooze that iconic Task Force 141 charisma we've all wanted at some point. These amazing glasses by Gunnar provide an excellent experience when playing the COD titles, especially the latest Modern Warfare III, in addition to doing everyday work.

When I got the glasses, I was amazed by the whole package. With a hard and neat-looking box covered by a detailed night-vision design containing coordinates and other details, I knew I was in for a treat. The box had the glasses, a microfiber pouch, and a microfiber cleaning cloth, along with a code for the Task Force 141 Charm you redeem in MWIII. There's also a clip to attach it to your bag or even your pants if you're feeling a bit vintage.

Putting them on for the first time was surprisingly comfortable because it did take me some time to adjust to the new glasses. The whole frame felt sturdy enough not to break, and the quality felt top-notch. The frame is made of polymer material, so unless you put some serious pressure on it, the glasses will stay intact for a long time. Gunnar's patented lens technology is present in the glasses, with it blocking harmful blue light and UV rays. The lenses are coated with an anti-reflective, smudge-resistant & oleophobic coating, meaning it's one of the best you can get on the market.

The lenses add a noticeable golden-ish filter to it since it's an amber tint, which might feel a bit unsettling at first, but you can quickly adjust to it. It was honestly a bit weird playing MWIII with it, but nevertheless, I managed to get a handful of solid wins wearing it without any issues.

Overall, these COD Alpha Edition Glasses by Gunnar are definitely worth it if you're looking for some good quality gaming glasses. With these being just $59.99, these are worth the buy if you know the quality you're getting. These will keep your eyes much better when you're gaming, reading, or doing some writing like I did. And, of course, they definitely look stylish and cool enough to keep in your collection.

The Alpha glasses shine mainly on reducing the strain on the eyes and will make you feel less exhausted because the blue light is not passing through. I used it for the first time around midnight when I felt strong enough to play MWIII a bit, but not for a long time. To my surprise, I went on to play it for around 3-4 hours without my head hurting or my eyes straining. Mind you, the screen is a bit far away from where I sit, but any other time, I would get tired after half an hour. So, it was amazing to wear them during my COD sessions without feeling down at all.
